Competition Rules: 2 points for a win; 1 point for a draw Champions, promotions and relegations Thornbury were crowned 1978 Victorian Men's District League Division 2 Champions. A reorganisation of the Victorian Men's Provisional and District Leagues in 1979 resulted in the addition of a third tier Provisional League. Hawksburn, Rosanna and Berwick City were promoted to the 1979 Victorian Men's Provisional League Division 3. Thornbury, Clifton Hill, Moonee Ponds, Wiltona and Monbulk were allocated to the 1979 Victorian Men's District League Division 1. Sandown, North Melbourne, Mitcham and Kensington United were allocated to the 1979 Victorian Men's District League Division 2. Amalgamations, name changes and withdrawals Thornbury became Brunswick City in 1979. |
