South Oakleigh were promoted to the 1979 Victorian Men's Provisional League Division 2. A reorganisation of the Victorian Men's Provisional and District Leagues in 1979 resulted in the addition of a third tier Provisional League. Nunawading United, Regent, Mordialloc and Boronia were promoted to the 1979 Victorian Men's Provisional League Division 3. Postal Institute, Gladstone Park, Yarraville, West Melbourne, Burnley, Pascoe Vale and Hampton were allocated to the 1979 Victorian Men's District League Division 1. Amalgamations, name changes and withdrawals Moe United, North Geelong and Shepparton City filled the regional vacancies in the 1979 Victorian Men's Provisional League Division 3. |
