After a training camp in April as part of the preparations for the upcoming AFC U-19 Women's Championships 2009 to be held in the Chinese city of Wuhan from 1 to 12 August Australia got more preparation with this European tour. The AFC Championships will also double as the qualification process for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup to be held in Germany next year. The European tour started with a match against their Finnish counterparts. This was a Friendly match.
