Played as a curtainraiser to the Socceroos v Ghana match to co-incide with the FIFA Congress being held in Sydney the Matildas played in a very entertaining match and win into the bargain. This also provided a warm-up ahead of the Asian Womens Cup. Sarah Walsh suffered a leg fracture in this match ruling her out for the next few months. This was a Friendly match.
