Northern NSW Pride could manage only a 1-1 draw against Victoria Vision despite dominating the match from start to finish.

Pride's Sunni Hughes was creating havoc for the opposition defence, but it was Victoria who snatched the lead just before half-time.  A poor kick from Northern's keeper was won in the air by Vision midfielder Kate Walker, releasing Leigh Terek ahead of the defence.  Terek had the easy task of placing her shot inside the right post.

Northern were relieved to equalise four minutes into the second half, the goal again coming from a keeper error.  A Rachael Alley ball into the box spun off the heavy pitch and through the hands of the Vision keeper.  Tracy Baker raced in to tap the loose ball into the empty net.

Despite further quality chances, Northern Pride were unlucky not to find the winning goal.

QAS Sting again failed to break their season goalscoring drought and finished with a 0-0 draw to SASI Pirates.  After an even first half, Sting were the stronger throughout the second term but were unable to break through for a third frustrating time.

The defensive lines for both sides performed very solidly throughout the game, with Pirates' keeper Leanne Trimboli making a couple of great saves to deny the Sting.

NSW Sapphires proved far too sharp for last-placed ACTAS Canberra Eclipse, recording an emphatic 4-1 win to give them the outright lead at the end of Round 3.

Sapphires' pint-sized Michelle Carney was turning the opposition defence inside-out almost every time she had the ball up the right, but several good chances went begging.

Joanne Burgess finally gave the 'home' side the lead shortly before the break, a Neisha Klessattel ball touched on by Carney for Burgess to slot home at the far post.

In the second half, the Sapphires raced to a 3-0 lead.  Heather Garriock fired in a double, her second a fantastic shot after turning her marker.   Kelly Golebiowski also scored, hitting home a loose ball.

Eclipse suddenly looked stronger in attack late in the game, and managed to score a consolation goal via Kim Channing.
