Defending champions Queensland Sting proved far too strong in Coffs Harbour and comfortably ran away with a 4-1 victory over Northern NSW Pride. However, as they had done the previous week, the young Pride outfit equalised at 1-1 during the first half, before Sting scored another two before the break.

Alicia Ferguson opened Sting's account early with a simple chance after the keeper fumbled a booming shot from long range. Northern's Katie Gill then levelled, scoring her second in two games with a simple tap to finish a Lorissa Stevens cross. Queensland then pulled away with a brilliant volley on the turn from Kate McShea, and two minutes later Ferguson struck her second with a low drive.

Harch scored Sting's fourth in the second half, her jinking run beating two defenders before converting with a low shot. Pride made a late challenge in the dying minutes, the Neilson sisters Amber and Aimie both unlucky not to score.

Canberra Eclipse consolidated with a second away victory, a solid 2-0 win over Victoria Vision. The home side had suffered a late setback with key defender Louisa Bisby sidelined by injury.

After a fairly even start to the game, Eclipse claimed the lead in the 25th minute, Sacha Wainwright's 35 metre freekick not dealt with by the Victorian defence and Amy Wilson slotting home from nine metres. Boosted by the goal, Canberra gradually took control of the game thereafter, although Vision's Selin Kuralay almost equalised with a long-range effort just before the break.

Eclipse dominated the second interval, creating a good number of openings, but were unable to convert their possession into goals. Victoria looked threatening on the odd occasion they were in sight of goal, and Rachel Lamb's long-range strike on a breakaway didn't miss by much. With five minutes to go, Canberra defender Wainwright secured the win with her second goal in as many matches, a simple strike from 10 metres.

Favourites NSW Sapphires scored a 2-0 away win over Adelaide Sensation, maintaining their undefeated all-time record against their southern rivals. Yesterday's withdrawal of striker Lisa De Vanna through injury further depleted the inexperienced Adelaide outfit for the tough encounter.

NSW took the lead in the 13th minute, Heather Garriock making a solo run up the left before unleashing a cross into the area. The ball beat the keeper, and in the scramble, was nodded into the net by Adelaide for an own goal. NSW continued to dominate the first half, Garriock and Kelly Golebiowski leading the attack, but unable to put another past Sensation's in-form goalkeeper Leanne Trimboli. The home side created a couple of rare chances ten minutes from the break but were unable to convert.

NSW's intensity dropped after the break as the weather took a cold, wet and windy turn resulting in a second half with few highlights. Adelaide made several attacking substitutions in the last fifteen minutes in an attempt to pinch an equaliser but the move also left them exposed. Six minutes from time, Alicia Cavanagh sealed the NSW win with her third goal in two games, sliding in at the near post to finish an Emma Davison cross.
