Promotions and relegations
South Melbourne-Hellas were crowned 1962 Victorian State League Champions.
Moreland were automatically relegated to the 1963 Victorian Metropolitan League Division 1 North.

Amalgamations and name changes
Croat amalgamated with Croatia and competed as Croatia in the 1963 Victorian State League.
Melbourne became Melbourne-Hungaria in 1963.
Wilhelmina became Ringwood-Wilhelmina in 1963.
