No place like home..

Finally home after 10 days on the road.

Feel like a truckie driving from city to city.

Thursday we did a runner from Coffs Harbour and hit the Gold Coast. Back in time for the Fiji game on the Saturday, suffering serious fatigue. Managed to meet up with Michael Huckle and partner Karen, and briefly burdened Cameron with all my World Cup anxiety after an agonising first half against Fiji. Not to mention, keeping Alan Clark's better half(Nicky's a lot more agreeable than you Alan!), company for the first 3 Australian matches, whilst Alan was occupied with media duty.

I had intended to stay for the Tonga v American Somoa match, but was too tired, and had to bail out a sleeping-on-the-grass David Arnold with no place to stay, and no plans whatsoever. David, you owe me one!

I think I saw Chris Dunkerley in a Socceroo shirt('97) as I was leaving? Wish I had of met the rest of the ozlistees in Coffs and been able to play in the supporters match before I had to leave Coffs, but by Sunday arvo I was well and truly gone.

Lunch on Sunday in Newcastle on the wharf. Never had a pizza before whilst sitting on the edge of a bay where over-100-metre ships just cruise past you. Unique place. Then fireworks on Sydney Harbour for dinner on Sunday. Lunch by Parliament house Monday in Canberra. Home in Melbourne at 10pm.

Thank God for work tommorow, maybe I can get some rest.

Looking forward to the next round of qualifiers in June 20 and 24. Looks like we'll be playing Vanuatu at this stage! :) That would be a nice holiday destination...
