The 'Second Test' saw Australia defeat New Zealand and take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the series. Australia finished the match with a 6-4 win but it was not before New Zealand had clawed their way back from 5-0 with four goals to 5-4. Australia sealed the match through the boot of Hughes.
