Wollongong v Morwell

Round 8 Match report by Riccardo Fabio Biondini
Wollongong City v Morwell Falcons

A good win by Wollongong against a depleted Falcons team, three players were out for the Latrobe Valley team, all replaced by youngsters. Furthermore they lose three players to injuries, Tricarico, Sekulic, and another. The Wolves goals came in the last twenty minutes, the first from a penalty after a Wolves player was held back in the box, Surjan converted the spot kick. The second from a nice build up on the flank, a short pass by Masi to Chipperfield who slotted the ball past Kourtis. Best for Gippsland were Sekulic and Kourtis (both goals were scored after Sekulic went of, blood dripping from his head). No chance for Kourtis on both goal when his defence opened up. For the Wolves, not really a standout play tho' Reda did very well when he came on, Ceccoli was voted the man of the match. Sevin and Harlock went off injured, both had to be helped off. Not a bad crowd, should get 7-8 thousand when Sydney United and Olympic come down.
