BRIS played better the longer the game went on. Cranney boys carved them but no doubt Dave Marshall will point out that they also gave the ball away too often.
SU started the stronger with BRIS all at sea for bout 10-15 mins. Midfield seemed to have little shape for either side.
Two Bris yellows one to Sean Cranney, the other for Nick Meredith. One SU player booked for hacking Craig Williams on the ground. 0-0 AT HALFTIME - SU probably the better team at this stage.
KNIPE went off then, had played reasonably well but seemed to be lacking physically against some of the bigger SU backs, needless to say he lost most high balls sent his way. Phillips came on into midfield. A bit slow and for 10 mins I thought the change had been a mistake but he eventually provided a bit more stability in the middle than we'd had in the first half.
SU then missed a couple of sitters. I think zdrillic was one, bloody hopeless finishing. Mind you shaky Bolton did pull off some good saves. No matter how many of these he does though I'll never refer to him as a good keeper.
I think these misses/saves somehow spurred the homeside on. Goal was delivered I think as a cutback from the left for someone to stroke home from 3 yards out. You won't believe this but I can't even tell you who scored the goal, needless to say crowd went wild.
Pretty well all Bris from there on in. FF in the thick of it for last 20. Could have had two or three more with SU only threatening occasionally. Kasey Wehrmann went off (maybe injured? - don't know). Chay Hews came on and played a solid game.
Have to comment on Marusic who is a skirt, haven't seen much of him but on that game I don't know why everyone rates him.
Overall Bris were the better side but SU had the better "missed" chances.
