Canberra Cosmos have returned to the National League. The boys from the Capital
travelled to Adelaide for their first league match of the season and weren't
discraced when playing against last season's runners up.
Although they did not have many chances, the team showed something that will
pervail throughout the season, that being spirit. Unfortunately, Damien Mori
was able to find the net twice to send the visitors home without a point.
What was special was that it took the Adealide team a long time to break through
and when it came, it was only because young up and coming goalkeeper Danny
Milosevic mis-judged a deflected ball outside the box allowing Mori to collect
the ball freely and place it into an empty net.
In the eyes of the media, the Cosmos did not discrace themselves and certainly
did not look like the team that were expected to be the easy-beats of the league.
