The Knights kept Bobby Catlin in the Marconi goal busy for most of the game but the introduction of Voijtek sparked the Knights goal scoring efforts. Their first goal of the season (scored by one of their own players) was more luck than skill as Andrew Marth turned the ball into the net in some heavy traffic. Joe Spiteri rounded off a good night for the Knights when he scored with an acute shot from near the goalline after bursting through the overworked Marconi defence.

The Falcons regained the top spot the lost in Round 2. Their first goal came after only 34 seconds when Bothwell scored from a cross and was soon followed by a well taken free kick. Mark Stergioupoulos lobbed an out of position keeper and Tapai added to the score before a Ciantar header could restore a little Olympic pride. A late goal almost made the scoreline respectable.
