Carlton v Wollongong

Round 2 report by Markain Jaworsky
Carlton SC v Wollongong Wolves

Probably around 600-800 people made the trip to Bob Jane Stadium to watch Carlton v Wollongong. Beautiful day, Carlton fresh from an impressive season last time around, and a win last week, again battled bravely against the odds. Despite the pathetic crowd in a record breaking attendance round(?), the pitch was magnificent, and the supporters that did turn up, made their presence felt.

Andrew Marth got sent off after 15 minutes for an attempted headbutt, Archie Thompson went to the top of the goalscorers after 30 minutes (with his 3rd of the season - Raul Blanco eat your heart out!) and Eddie Lennie had a shocker.

Wolves scored a blinder freekick through Chipperfield, got another with 10 minutes to go. David Terminello got an equaliser in the 89th, off the post.

Agree with Lino's comments Re: Crowds. Carlton have had 4 home grounds, and going for 5 in two weeks time. Talk of associations with many organisations, many faces involved off the field, many debates and divisions, if we had 15,000(NU) or 10,000(NS), we'd be over the friggin' moon.
