Power v Olympic

Round 13 report by Frank Martin
Parramatta Power v Sydney Olympic

First goal superb cross from the right touch line from Cradozo onto the head of Tome -

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLL.....

Second goal individual brilliance of Peter Zorbas the beat two defenders in the box then slot it past the goalkeeper whilst still in company of the same said defenders....

GOALLLLLLLLLLL.....

What followed was bordering on the bizarre .....

Zorbas took off the the grandstand tounch line , did a slide then a sommersault, which found him (you guessed it !) off the playing area ... from Billy Connolly's bag a jokes ......YELLOW CARD NO 2 .... RED CARD ...... thanks for scoring the winning goal but yourrrrrrr offffff .....

Another bizarre twist in a game full of agression came when Bouhoutsos committed the simplest of technical goalkeeping errors after making yet another save to give Power a indirect free kick just a few yards from goal.....Bang into the top of the net ....... but someone forgot to tell the Power kick taker that an indirect kick has to be hit by a second player ..... free kick back to Olympic..

More bizarre twists as a corner to Olympic after the time had run out on the unofficial clock (but at least 5 minutes of extra time expected). What a debacle as no one in the Olympic side comes into the area. The corner kick is short passed to the only Olympic player in the Power half, who kicks it over the goal line for a goal kick to Power Was that a brain explosion or what.

The frantic next 4 minutes probably deserved to see a goal for Power and it wasn't from lack of trying that they didn't.

But at end of day win & 3 points to Olympic and retention of competition lead.

Also bizarre start to top of table clash in National Youth League when Olympic score opening goal in the first 15 seconds) The previously undefeated teams fail to find the net for the remainder of the 90 minutes. 3 points to Olympic

Oh Hoodie .... how much was that bet ....... Sydney Olympic Youth League coach now 31 games on the trot without a loss .... not a bad record ......

and an Olympic double for the night.
