New South Wales v Aberdeen (Scotland)

Written and researched by Greg Stock.

This match was played between the New South Wales state representative side and the visiting Aberdeen club side from Scotland. The N.S.W. team went into this match under strength with a number of the squad overseas with the Socceroos at the 1974 World Cup Finals. Aberdeen interestingly had a defender by the name of Eddie Thomson in their ranks, who would later go onto coach the Australian national team.
