In final preparations for the World Cup and Tom Sermanni still to nominate the final squad a 2-match series against New Zealand has been organised to allow him to fine tune selections. The first match was played behind closed doors, presumably for no other reason than the likely poor turnout on a Thursday when half of Gosford is working in Sydney. This was a Friendly match.
