As in 2012, Australia travelled to New Zealand to play a three match Trans Tasman Cup series. The matches were also a lead in to the Oceania Futsal Championships being hosted by New Zealand, to which it appears that the Futsalroos were invited to, despite now being part of the Asian confederation. This was the first of the three matches. This was a Friendly match.

In 2013, despite being part of the Asian confederation, Australia and Malaysia were invited to take part in the 2013 Oceanian Futsal Championships. The Futsalroos were put into Group B, which included Vanuatu, Tahiti and a New Zealand invitational team. The first match was against the New Zealand Inviational team, and I have thus classified it as a 'B' international, the result of which can be under the 2013 'B' Internationals page. Australia's second group match was againt Vanuatu. This was an Oceania Futsal Championhip match.

During October, Australia embarked on the qualifying campaign to reach the 2014 Asian Futsal Championships in Vietnam. The qualification tournament was held in Thailand, and saw Australia grouped with Timor-Leste, Myanmar, Laos and Indonesia. The tournament also doubled up as the 2013 Asean Futsal Chmapionhips (also known as the AFF Championships. The Futsalroos' first group match was against Timor-Leste.
