Merger History While early records are somewhat murky, it appears that Corio was formed by German migrants in 1956. After participating for a number of years in the Metroplitan League, the club was banished along with other Geelong clubs at the end of 1963, returning in 1968. The club merged with Geelong United in 1987, and with Northern Suburbs (of the WVSA league) in 1995.
